Deactivate Your Facebook Account
You’ve been using Facebook a lot lately. It’s time to give up on Facebook and spend some quality time with yourself and your loved ones.
Deactivating is good for you, your health, and your love life. Follow the steps and get it done now.
- Step 01: Log in to your Facebook account using a web browser
- Second Step: Tap the upside-down triangle positioned on the upper right corner of the Facebook Page
- Third Step: Go to ‘Settings & Privacy’. Click on ‘Settings’
- Step 04: A settings menu will appear on the left side of the page. Click on ‘Your Facebook Information’
- Step 05: Your Facebook information page will appear. Scroll down to the bottom; you’ll see the deactivation/deletion action button on the left
- Step 06: Choose ‘Deactivate Account’
- Step 07: An interrogation page will ask for reasons and explanations for deactivation. Enter the desired information
- Step 08: Click on the blue-coloured action button ‘Deactivate’ to disable your account temporarily
IMPORTANT: Deactivating/disabling the account is temporary. However, you can’t use Facebook again by simply ‘Log In’.

Delete Your Facebook Account

- Step 04: A ‘Download Information’ page will appear. Tap on the ‘Request Copy’ option
- Step 05: Select the date range, media quality, and format. And Select the stuff you wish to have copies of. For instance, saved images, messages, posts, events, etc
- Step 06: To confirm your request, click on ‘Create File’
Once your data is downloaded. You’ll receive a notification. Download your data on your PC to save it.
Your account data is now saved. Feel free to delete your account.
