Apple’s iPhone 8 is still a solid pick for utility and speed with an easy-to-use Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into its traditional home button. Even though it wasn’t even Apple’s flagship iOS device when released.
It is essentially the same phone like the iPhone X for a fraction of the price, which is still astounding even after the two devices have been on the market for several years.
Choose from one of Apple’s four new iPhones if you’re in the market for a new iPhone. Compared to the iPhone 8, they’re three years more recent, but they’re also more expensive.
The price of the iPhone 8 has decreased since it was released. Every time Apple launches a new iPhone, a handful of the older models are discontinued.

Design

Don’t get too excited about the iPhone 8 — it’s the most significant design shift in three years. Wireless charging is one of the many new features built into the glass back of the new iPhone, which is a substantial boost over the aluminum body that we can observe on the device since the iPhone 5.
In terms of size, shape, and appearance, iPhone 8 is practically indistinguishable from iPhone 7, 6S, and 6 in terms of its front appearance.
Even though the iPhone 8 is slightly larger, broader, and taller than the iPhone 7, you won’t notice the difference in any of those dimensions. When we held the phone in our palms, we could comfortably handle it in our hands even though it was 10g heavier than the iPhone 7.
Camera
It’s a shame that the iPhone 8 doesn’t have a dual-camera setup like the 8 Plus and the iPhone X. However, the quality of its images and videos has improved.
New sensors and an updated image signal processor are primarily responsible for the improvements to the cameras on the front and back this time around.
However, I didn’t see enough difference from the iPhone 7 to love the phone, but the images I took all looked beautiful, even in low light. A telephoto lens (2x optical zoom) is also missing, as is a Portrait mode similar to that present on iPhones 7 Plus and 8 Plus.
In addition to shooting a 4K video at 60 FPS and slow-motion video at 240 frames per second, this phone also shoots 60 frames per second in 1080p.
iPhone 8 Plus and X have superior rear-facing cameras, but if you want the most OK camera on an iPhone this year, you’ll need to upgrade to one of these two models. The 2x telephoto lens is my go-to camera at all times.
Battery Life and Performance

Apple’s A11 Bionic Hexa-core (six cores) processor powers the iPhone 8. It was Apple’s most powerful processor ever in an iPhone at the time, but it has since fallen out of favor.
No matter how much time you spend tearing through various programs, listening to music, watching videos, or checking email, the hardware never interrupts you (as is usual for a new phone).
When juggling multiple tasks at once, it’ll amaze you at how quickly apps are available, but that’s something iPhones have always excelled at. The additional processing power will come into play (which uses AR Kit, for example).
